This workshop is designed to elevate a Dietitians skills and understanding about how to better able to support all people to protect themselves, whilst using social media for good.
Hosted by Amanda Bolton and Sarah Egan from Eating Disorders Training Australia, part 1 will introduce you to why social media use can be so fraught, then move into evidence-based strategies you can bring into practice to diversify the algorithm to reduce exposure to potentially harmful content
You’ll learn - step by step - HOW to guide your clients in both individual and group-based sessions to diversify their feed based on other interests and keywords and leave with super practical strategies to take into practice.
Hosted by Fiona Sutherland, part 2 will move more into how to support our clients to protect themselves and set effective boundaries when using their own social media accounts. We will also discuss how to navigate tricky situations when their images/bodies are being used in their workplace/club/organisation social media.
